Another great site. This site has information about getting started in your search, financing, finding and buying a home, and what you need to know about organizing your move. We are in full compliance with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and work closely with area REALTORS to make our homes available to buyers who are interested in affordable housing.

The best resource we've ever found is provided by our Federal Government, believe it or not!  The HUD.Gov site (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) is chock-ful of useful tools for helping you decide whether to rent or buy; to calculate a mortgage payment; to building a personal budget, to saving for a down payment. There more stuff to list at the HUD site than we have space to list it - but if you really want to educate yourself before embarking on your home-buying adventure, go visit this site to gather some great information.

Understanding Your Credit Rating

This is “myFICO”, a site dedicated to helping you understand your credit scores, and how to improve them. It will show you what each score means, and what goes into determining your credit score. When it comes to buying a home, this is a critical piece of the puzzle. Whether or not you qualify for a mortgage at this time; and what kind of program you qualify for are all determined, in part by your credit score.  Check it out. Great Site!
